Quals Update
I did not pass my qual exam. QoH put up a good fight on my behalf but could not change the committee’s mind. I will have to take it again in the fall quarter.

While I know it’s not the end of the world, this is certainly crappy news. I’m pleased QoH fought for you, and sorry you have to deal with the studying and stress again. I’m definitely familiar with the feeling of desperately wanting something over with and having it linger for a while longer. Hang in there. (I wish I could think of something more meaningful/comforting to say – sorry about the lameness of the comment.)
