Today I am going to submit a petition to withdraw from the quarter completely. I cannot help but think that this is entirely due to my laziness that is masquerading as depression. Why could I not just suck it up, and work my butt off? I am a utter failure.

hey pseudo, you need a break. and a REAL one. one where you can just get away (mentally, emotionally) from the work and not feel guilty about it or that you’re falling even more behind.
it sounds like you can’t move forward until you can actually re-commit to doing your degree. it’s difficult – if not impossible – to finish grad school unless you really, really want it.
do you want this?? if not, then what do you want? if you know, then you’re luckier than most, and you should go for it!
