freaked out

This morning I realized I am 26. Twenty fuckin six. No, its not my birthday today.. its no where near either. It just stuck me this morning out of the blue. WTF? the last thing I can recall was turning 23. where did the 3 years go? I dont know why, but I am a bit freaked out. I am not ready to be 27 yet. Hell I am not even ready to be 24.

I hate it b/c all the sudden you just feel “old” and people older than you don’t understand because they still see you as young. I was very aware of turning 24 this year. It still bugs me. I realize it’s not “old” but I feel old. Mature?

Well, all we can do is make the most out of every moment… God pseudo, you’ve been making up for lost time in your blog though… I had loads to catch up with! ;)

Btw, Pseudo, woot and kudos to you, I just noticed you’re listening to Yo-Yo Ma :D

“I was very aware of turning 24 this year” Rubbing it in, are we?

Jen, I figured that now that I am old, I might as well start getting used to “old people music.” I am not sure which should freak me out more, the fact that I bought 2 CD compilation of Mozart and Beethoven, or the fact that I actually think that Jacqueline du Pre is better infinetly better than Yo Yo Ma.

Hell who are these people and why do I know them? I am going back tomorrow and getting myself a copy of Linsey Lohan or someone equally lame.

Jacquline is best! I completely agree. For me, her playing has a sort of healing effect. When I feel bad, I darken my room and listen to the Dvorak concerto. Then I feel better.

What pieces does YoYo Ma play well? He plays Jacqueline’s cello now, right?

And don’t worry that you now like adult music, too. Just be happy that you feel when you hear music, no matter what kind,

And, finally, I read Douglas Adams 12 years ago (whew, what a long time). The trilogy was the first real books I read in English. Volume 1 took me 2 months. Volume 5 only 2 days.

Hey now, I’m freaking 24, Pseudo, and I listen to these people. So you’re not too bad… now if you were living on a daily diet of Paul Anka, Debbie Reynolds, and such, I’d begin to worry… ;)

Hell, it’s even more f-ed up when you realize that you’re 33….. and from what hear, you’ll always feel like 16… if you’re lucky ;-)
