Counter Envy
So I have been blogging here for a while now, and I am not happy. I have had only 76 visitors in the short 14 days this blog has existed. Thats about 150 visitors a month. Or a meagre 1800 visitors a year. In my random walk through the blog world I often come upon sites that have an average of 500 visitors a month. I get 150, and some idiot gets 500. me 150. other 500. See what I am saying? How do I get more visitors?

Well if you figure that out please let me know. I figure this is my form of therapy. Its not really there for anyone just myself. I just see it as a good way to release all things in my life.

I agree. I like to think of my blog as an interactive personally diary.
Note to self: Replace “Dear Diary” with “Hello World!” in all posts.

Yeah, sometimes I wish I had more traffic. But then, I like thinking of my blog as a personal journal just for me. Most people start to feel uncomfortable if people they know start reading their blogs. Then they start writing and posting differently – almost with less freedom. You start to write to THEM as opposed to YOURSELF …

That is soo part of the reason I took the counter off my blog. I figured it was just way to wonder why more people didnt comment. Cause people email me all the time to ask if they can use my poetry that is so often posted. But not one person posts a comment on what they liked or disliked about it. So it annoyed me.

I like the counter for two reasons. One, I know for sure that atleast one person is reading this blog. Else its just me talking to myself. Secondly, I get to see who visits from which IP. Howelse would I know if someone I know has found out about my new shangrila?
